Convinced of the real existence of Catherine Ségurane, Edith Faraut, a lawyer at the Nice Bar and a painter, pays tribute to the heroine of Nice through a series of portraits representing her.
The approach is unique: the artist invites into her studio models, both professionals and amateurs, friends, and artists, who may not necessarily know the history of the County of Nice, and shares with them her own account of Catarina’s heroic act and the siege of 1543.

From May 11 to September 22, 2024, the Suquet des Artistes in Cannes presents “Dessus Dessous,” an exhibition dedicated to the artist Julien des Monstiers.
Between fine arts and applied arts, Julien des Monstiers experiments with the limits of painting, while seeking depth, surfaces, textures, folds, and fractures. These works presented at Suquet des Artistes, whether figurative or abstract, aim to show that the subject is not in the image, but in the way it is realized.

On Sunday 25 August 2024, Antibes will be the only city in the Alpes-Maritimes and one of 12 cities in France to host the Paralympic Games Flame.
An exceptional tribute as Tony Estanguet, President of the Organising Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, points out: “It is a city that, on the one hand, is magnificent, very sporty, but also legitimate and committed to changing the way people look at disability. We did not call for applications like for the Olympic torch relay. We relied on the departments that had trusted us for the Olympic torch relay and on the French Paralympic and Sports Committee to identify territories that have this Paralympic flame in them, because there are accessible Paralympic infrastructures, this concern to develop Paralympic sports and Antibes ticks all the boxes.” The 12 Paralympic flames, including the one that left Antibes, will converge on the Place de la Concorde in Paris, where the opening ceremony will take place on August 28.
