PhiloMonaco Week from June 11 to June 16, 2024
From Tuesday, June 11 to Sunday, June 16, the Philosophical Meetings of Monaco will organize PhiloMonaco Week: numerous participants, including philosophers, researchers, psychiatrists and psychologists, writers, professors, etc., will come to discuss and exchange views with the public on the themes of Ecology, Education, Care, Women, and the Art of Living.
The conversations, philosophical lunches, round tables, and dialogues with the public will mainly take place at the Théâtre Princesse Grace, which will become the “House of Philosophy” during these days. Like last year, the Matinales, organized in collaboration with Monaco Info and the Municipality of Monaco, will be hosted by Sandrine Negre from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the La Condamine market. These meetings will feature dialogues with invited personalities and exchanges with the public on the proposed themes. In collaboration with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, the meetings will be held on Saturday, June 15 on the terrace of the Café de Paris and at the Hôtel Hermitage. On Sunday, June 16, to conclude the Week, the Yacht Club will host the final event. Several other highlights will punctuate PhiloMonaco Week:
- Philosophical lunches, in collaboration with the Mediatheque of Monaco and the Café of the Théâtre Princesse Grace
- The launch of the magazine “Les Jeunes philosophent” for schools
- The philosophical snack for children aged 7 to 10
- The Evening of Award Ceremony for a work, the Honorary Mention for a publishing house, and the High School Award given to two high school students
Signing sessions will be held at the bookstore set up for the occasion at the Théâtre. It should be noted that most of the meetings will be broadcast live on philomonaco.com and on the PhiloMonaco YouTube and Facebook pages.
