Founded in 1950 by Hungarian interpreter André Böröcz, the Menton Music Festival is one of the main summer events on the French Riviera. For about two weeks, world-class artists perform open-air concerts on the square of the Basilica of Saint Michael Archangel, overlooking the port.
This year’s edition will feature renowned performers such as pianist Maria João Pires, cellist Gautier Capuçon, and soprano Diana Damrau. In addition to the big names, the festival showcases emerging talents during concerts at the Jean Cocteau Museum, offering a unique blend of tradition and discovery.

The tradition dates back to 1929, when Menton was one of Europe’s main lemon producers. The first flower and citrus exhibition was held at the Hotel Riviera, and the following year it moved into the streets, giving birth to the famous Fête du Citron® in 1934.

In Sospel, a town rich in baroque heritage, the Les BaroQuiales Festival celebrates baroque art with concerts, theatrical performances, costume parades, and processions. The festival concludes with an elegant closing ball, turning the historic center into a living stage. A perfect event for lovers of history, art, and classical music.

The Saint Eligius Festival honors the mule drivers who once guided travelers and goods along the Tende Pass. Over two and a half days, the town comes alive with:
