As part of the exhibition “From Workshops to Workshops,” organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Théo Casciani, an artist and writer-in-residence whose work bridges literature and visual and performing arts, has been given carte blanche.
Within the studio space created in the exhibition, Théo Casciani presents a series of public performances that explore the concept of the studio as a place of life, dialogue, and experimentation:
“Ateliers” – Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
A conversation with Mathilde Roman, art critic and professor at the Pavillon Bosio, combining a presentation of texts and a discussion on the idea of the studio, the opportunity of such a residency within the exhibition, and the associated program description.
“Projection” – Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Screening of a selection of films by British artist and video maker Mark Leckey, interspersed with a remote conversation, to discuss how places, environments, and atmospheres influence creation.
“Audio” – Wednesday, October 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Reading-concert in collaboration with producer and composer Pierre Rousseau. A product of collaborations in the studio and the workshop, this performance will blend novelistic work and musical creation.
