EXHIBITION – FROM GESTURE TO FLAME

From 05/18 to 09/22/2024, every day.

The history of fire preparation is as long as the history of humanity. Through a retrospective of techniques, we will examine both traditional fire-lighting techniques and more modern and original ones.

Fire is the result of a chemical reaction, but it has always fascinated man. The first real traces of hearths date back 400,000 years and testify to the domestic use of fire by man. Today, this vital element is taken for granted. However, it marks a turning point in human evolution.
