This exhibition is the first retrospective dedicated to Martine Doytier. It brings together all her known works to date.
Martine Doytier was an artist in Nice from 1971 to 1984. Over thirteen years, she developed a captivating body of work.
Her keen eye and ability to sketch characters and tell their stories produced an ever-evolving body of work and led her to embark on what would be her last unfinished work: “The Self-Portrait”, a painting she worked on for five years that passionately describes her everyday world.

THE EXHIBITION PATH
In an immersive and interactive scenography, the exhibition Les Elles des Jeux retraces over 130 years of our contemporary society through the stories of emblematic women with exemplary destinies. The exhibition is divided into 6 sections, both chronological and thematic. With “They Are Not Welcome”, the exhibition begins its journey through time with the first modern-era Olympic Games.
