The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Tourism Committee and the Southern Region are hitting the road again this summer! The “ça c’est le Sud” tour stops in St-Etienne-de-Tinée, as well as in about thirty other towns across our territory.
To offer entertainment to as many people as possible, the Southern Region and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Regional Tourism Committee have joined forces to provide a free show as part of the tour.
Beach Library
Throughout the summer, you can find your favorite books at the Fossan beach (in front of the Musée Jean Cocteau, Séverin Wunderman Collection) thanks to the “beach library”. Books for adults and children, novels, comics, documentaries, manga… to read on beach chairs, towels, or to take home. Ideal for relaxing, catching up on the latest literary news, and discovering the tourist attractions of our beautiful region.

Opening of the exhibition “Alchemy” by Michèle TORRELLI
Alchemy is a transformation of reality into a poetic and miraculous fiction. Colors play a central role in our perception of the surrounding world, influencing our emotions, moods, and even decisions. Chemistry creates its own color, on the painter’s palette. On display until July 30, 2024.

Summer Night Market
This daily event takes place from late June to late August and is undoubtedly a favorite among locals as well as many summer visitors. Restaurateurs and other shops take advantage of this night-time event.
From 6:30 PM to midnight, 30 artisans and merchants enliven Mail du Bastion to the delight of all: crafts, jewelry, painting… there’s something for everyone.
Linking the city center with the sea, this market has now become a true institution in Menton.

Guided Tour of the Claude Como Exhibition, Sweet Symphony
Since the 1980s, Claude Como, a Marseille-born artist born in 1964, has used oil colors, ceramics, resin, charcoal, and wool to explore his own history. It is also an opportunity to experience his complex relationship with the realities of the world, where the living is at the center of the stage. Exhibition: Stay with you
On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the death of Jean Cocteau, the museum conceived by him as a testimony of his art is returning to its historical setting.
Jean Cocteau died on October 11, 1963, leaving behind a work as rich as it is incredibly varied. The issue of his posterity and the future of his art was one of the artist’s main concerns in his last years of life, and Menton provided the solution by offering him the Bastion to set up his museum. In this showcase, decorated by Cocteau himself, he wanted to exhibit some of the most emblematic works of his dazzling career: colorful pastels, monumental tapestries, surprising paintings, and bold ceramics make up the original collection of this true testament museum…
Not to mention the famous series of “Lovers”, drawings that perfectly embody the Mediterranean inspiration of the artist. Sixty years after the death of the Prince of Poets, the Musée Jean Cocteau-le Bastion has returned to exhibit his historical work, paying a vibrant tribute to his guardian artist, making his words inscribed on his tombstone come true: “Je reste avec vous” (“I stay with you”).
