AIR will perform “Moon Safari” at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo on June 15, 2024.
The chic duo that forms AIR has left a mark on the history of electro-pop worldwide, and a quarter of a century later, they still stand alongside Phoenix, Etienne De Crécy, or the Daft Punk in the pantheon of the “French Touch.” Two students, one in astrophysics and the other in architecture, walk into a bar on the moon. It might seem like the start of a joke, but at the twilight of the 20th century, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel actually did it, and the impact was significant on pop culture.
Seven years without performing concerts together! But last year, their first album “Moon Safari” turned 25, giving the duo the occasion to reunite and embark on a world tour where they will once again play the tracks from this cult classic like “Sexy Boy,” “Kelly Watch The Stars,” or “All I Need.” In addition to the tour, “Moon Safari” was reissued in mid-March with many alternative versions and a sound that remains as hypnotic as ever. This series of concerts will pass through Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Rome, Los Angeles, New York, not forgetting Monaco.
The duo AIR reunited by surprise a few weeks ago for a world tour. They will be in concert on Saturday, June 15, at the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo.
Concert tickets start at €120. Doors open at 20:00, concert starts at 20:30.
