June marks a key moment for the Théâtre Francis Gag in Nice, a central venue within the Pôle Théâtre et Arts Vivants of the City of Nice. As the current season comes to a close, anticipation builds for the upcoming 2026/2027 programme, officially unveiled with previews and early bookings now open.

The new season highlights creativity, education and talent development, bringing together students, teachers, families and local theatre companies in a rich cultural programme.

A Season Dedicated to Theatre Education for Schools and Families

The “École du Spectateur” 2026/2027 programme offers a wide selection of performances designed for school and family audiences. Its goal is to introduce young audiences to performing arts through theatre, dance, music, storytelling and puppetry.

The programme is aimed at primary schools, middle schools, high schools, universities and conservatories, offering tailored cultural experiences adapted to different educational levels. Families are also invited to discover accessible performances designed to foster early engagement with theatre.

The Théâtre Francis Gag Stage Opens to Young Talent

With the start of the artistic showcase season, the Théâtre Francis Gag reaffirms its role as a creative and educational platform.

Students from the Nice Conservatory and local amateur theatre companies will present the results of their work on a professional stage, evaluated by audiences and expert juries.

Among the highlights is “Je suis Fassbinder” by Falk Richter, performed by Conservatory students, exploring contemporary European social and emotional crises through the figure of filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder.

Another key production is “L’Odyssée (extraits)” by Marion Aubert, presented by the TFG children and teen theatre workshop, reinterpreting Homer’s epic in an imaginative and accessible form.

The Théâtre Francis Gag also hosts numerous amateur theatre groups presenting the results of a year of artistic work guided by professional artists.

The June–July 2026 programme includes a wide range of performances, from Molière adaptations such as The Bourgeois Gentleman and The Miser, to contemporary creations, original works, and dance performances like “Flamenco Pasion”.

Each performance represents a meeting point between artists and audiences, highlighting the cultural vitality of the local scene and the artistic development of participants.

Theatre Training and Workshops for All Ages

The Théâtre Francis Gag offers weekly theatre classes led by qualified professionals, with a structured learning path for children, teenagers and adults.

Through improvisation, voice work, poetry and play analysis, students develop creativity, communication skills and stage presence. The aim is to provide a comprehensive training experience combining technique and artistic expression.

A Theatre Open to the City and New Generations

With the 2026/2027 season, the Théâtre Francis Gag reinforces its role as a cultural hub in Nice, promoting access to the arts through reduced fares, student programmes and initiatives such as the Pass Culture.

It remains a vibrant space where education, creativity and performance come together, offering a dynamic cultural platform open to the city and future generations.
