H.E. Mrs. Anne-Marie BOISBOUVIER, Ambassador, Permanent Delegate of the Principality of Monaco to UNESCO, invited the Ambassadors accredited to UNESCO to continue the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Principality of Monaco’s accession to UNESCO, launched in February 2024.
Culture was honored with, on stage, Cecilia Bartoli, mezzo-soprano singer, and John Malkovich, actor and active collaborator with the artistic scene of the Principality, surrounded by the Monte-Carlo Opera Choir and the Musicians of the Prince.
The event, held in the setting of the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles, was an opportunity to witness an artistic confrontation, between theatrical narration and musical festivity, in “Their Master’s Voice,” a show in homage to the castrato Farinelli and his master, Porpora.
The audience left enchanted by this event, dazzled by the immense talent of these artists, both passionate about the 18th century, and whose voices were sublimated by this historic place.
On July 6, 1949, Monaco joined the ranks of UNESCO member nations, with the aim of promoting culture, education, and science on an international scale. To celebrate its 75th anniversary, the Permanent Delegation of the Principality of Monaco will continue throughout the year to organize various events aimed at illustrating the Principality’s international vocation and highlighting various Monegasque entities active in the fields of competence of this Organization.
