On September 26, 2024, the General Delegate of the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (CIUP), Mrs. Vanessa SCHERRER, opened the traditional welcome reception for residents organized by Mrs. Martine GARCIA-MASCARENHAS, Director of the Fondation de Monaco, in the presence of the Director of Security and the Head of General Resources of the CIUP, Mr. Eric DELRIEU and Mr. Alphonse ZANOU.
The General Delegate warmly welcomed the residents, who are particularly numerous this year, as the Fondation de Monaco was able to reopen its 77 accommodations after an energy rehabilitation program for the building. She reminded everyone of the CIUP’s values, which will be celebrated on the occasion of the Centenary in 2025, inviting everyone to take advantage of the opportunities offered by a stay in this exceptional place.
The event took place around a friendly buffet in the Foundation’s grand salon, exceptionally open for the occasion following the restoration of the woodwork. The restoration works are expected to be completed in 2025, a year that will also mark the conclusion of three major renovation programs aimed at improving the quality of student accommodation.
Mrs. Martine GARCIA-MASCARENHAS invited the next Residents’ Committee to propose a schedule of activities that will offer opportunities to welcome the public to this renovated historic building.
