The Department of External Relations and Cooperation organized, on April 23 and 24, 2025, at the Hôtel Hermitage, the traditional conference bringing together the heads of the Principality’s diplomatic missions. Sixteen Ambassadors were present.
This edition was held under the presidency of Ms. Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Acting Minister of State and Government Counselor–Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, who opened the proceedings by recalling that:
“The Principality’s international action is based on values […] upheld by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince: peace, above all, as a guarantee of security and the well-being of peoples; respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, universal principles defended with determination; and, finally, international solidarity, which is essential to face global challenges, whether environmental, political, or economic.”
During these two days of discussions, several current topics were addressed, including:
The Principality’s economic situation, presented by Mr. Pierre-André Chiappori, Government Counselor–Minister of Finance and Economy;
Monaco’s environmental commitments, detailed by Ms. Céline Caron-Dagioni, Government Counselor–Minister of Equipment, Environment, and Urban Planning;
The Principality’s participation in the Osaka Kansai 2025 World Expo, with presentations by H.E. Ms. Mireille Martini, Commissioner General of the Monaco Pavilion (via videoconference), and H.E. Mr. Didier Gamerdinger, Monaco’s Ambassador to Japan.
The conference concluded with a presentation of the 2022-2024 report on Monaco’s international cooperation activities, as well as the priority objectives of the new Plan.
Finally, the Ambassadors were invited to visit the Grimaldi Forum for a presentation of the site, a review marking its 25th anniversary, and a discovery of its new extension.
