The Ambassador of Monaco to Spain, H.E. Mrs. Catherine FAUTRIER ROUSSEAU, visited Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands) on Friday, May 2.
During this visit, organized by the Honorary Consul of Monaco responsible for the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera), Mrs. Laura CALVO BORREGO, the Ambassador was received by the President of the Balearic Government, Mrs. Margalida PROHENS RIGO.
This meeting provided an opportunity to discuss potential collaborations between the island of Mallorca and Monaco, particularly in the fields of environmental protection, tourism, port activities, and yachting.
Following this meeting, a session was held with the Mayor of Palma, Mr. Jaime MARTINEZ LLABRES, to explore the possibility of hosting, in 2026, an exhibition to mark the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Monaco and Spain.
Prior to these meetings, the Ambassador was welcomed at the Consulate of Monaco in Palma, where she met with Mrs. CALVO’s team.
