Summer on the French Riviera races ahead at the Hippodrome de la Côte d’Azur. From July 7 to August 23, 2025, the much-anticipated Meeting d’Été returns with an irresistible mix of sport, culture, and entertainment in a festive, welcoming atmosphere.
Taking center stage is international harness racing, with four major Group races including the highlight of the season, the Grand Prix du Département des Alpes Maritimes (Group II) on August 23, and the Generations Cup, featuring 3- to 6-year-old horses. Don’t miss the Mediterranean and Black Sea Harness Drivers Championship on August 9, bringing elite jockeys from across the region.
But the Meeting d’Été is more than a sporting event: each evening is a unique celebration, with themed nights, live shows, music, local crafts, and dazzling fireworks. July shines with the “Villes et Institutions” evenings, where eight local towns take the spotlight, offering free entertainment, cultural activities, and a joyful atmosphere.
Highlights include:
July 7: Villeneuve-Loubet Night, with games, dancing, and free entry for residents
July 12: “Hippodrome en fête” featuring the “Légendaires” show and a spectacular fireworks display
July 16 & 19: evenings themed around La Gaude and Côte d’Azur France, with family-friendly activities and regional promotion
July 21: “Ville et Métiers d’Art” night with artisan showcases, vintage car parade, and fireworks
July 23 & 30: the elegance of Grasse’s White Night and Saint-Laurent-du-Var’s local celebration with night markets and martial arts shows
A refined dining experience with trackside views, live performances, and children’s play areas complete the offer.
Entry is often free for residents of participating towns upon presentation of a flyer or proof of residency.
The Meeting d’Été at the Cagnes-sur-Mer Hippodrome is more than a racing event: it’s a summer journey of excitement, tradition, and togetherness—perfect for all ages.
