Saint-Paul de Vence, 21 October 2025 — The charm of autumn has settled over one of the Côte d’Azur’s most beloved villages.
Until 2 November, Saint-Paul de Vence invites residents and visitors to enjoy the Fête de l’Automne, a vibrant celebration of local flavours, art, and Provençal traditions, transforming the medieval streets into a stage of colours, aromas, and conviviality.
Organised by the ACASP Association (Commerçants et Artistes de Saint-Paul) with the support of the Municipality and the Tourist Office, the event offers two weeks of authentic experiences that capture the poetic essence of the autumn season.
After a lively weekend with the autumn braderie on 18, 19 and 20 October — the traditional end-of-season sale featuring boutiques, galleries and local artisans — the village continues its celebration of taste and tradition.
📍 On Sunday 19 October, the Fête des Vendanges et des Châtaignes filled Place de Gaulle with the scent of roasted chestnuts, regional wines and gourmet specialities, accompanied by live music and festive spirit — a true celebration of the Provençal harvest season.
On Saturday 25 October, nature and astronomy lovers can take part in a night hike along the Henri Layet trail, guided by science communicator Florent Bailleul.
Equipped with telescopes and binoculars, participants will explore the autumn sky and the sounds of the countryside by night.
Booking required at the Tourist Office (💶 €12.50 adults – €10 children 6–12 – free under 6).
📅 The following day, Sunday 26 October, the beloved Soupe de Courges à la Saint-Pauloise returns: a communal lunch set across four village squares, blending music, art performances and local gastronomy.
Each guest will receive a handcrafted bol made by local artists (💶 Menu €29 – booking required – free parking available).
As night falls, Saint-Paul de Vence takes on a mysterious glow.
On 30 and 31 October, lantern-lit guided tours will reveal the legends and hidden stories of the village — a blend of folklore, suspense and Halloween spirit.
Costumes are welcome, and treats await the youngest visitors (💶 €10, free for under 6s).
On 31 October afternoon, families can join an open-air escape game, a “hunt for the culprit” through the cobbled lanes, followed by the traditional trick-or-treat trail among shops and art galleries.
