After a major six-month renovation, the Saint-Charles municipal pool in Monaco officially reopens to the public, once again becoming a central hub for community wellness and sport. Closed since mid-July, the facility now offers fully modernized installations designed to enhance both user experience and staff working conditions.
The renovation focused particularly on the water and air treatment and heating systems, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies to ensure high standards of hygiene and safety, as well as a more efficient and sustainable use of energy resources. The upgrades now maintain water temperatures between 28° and 32°C, while providing a consistently comfortable indoor environment throughout the year.
With the reopening, the full range of activities that have made Saint-Charles Pool a local landmark resumes. This includes aquagym, aquabike, and aquatrampo fitness (ATF) classes, lessons for baby swimmers, the swimming school, and the popular “Mermaids” sessions, allowing participants to swim with a mermaid tail.
Significant updates have also been made to the adjacent fitness room, now accessible only through guided classes with qualified coaches, ensuring safe and personalized training. The sports program is further enriched with new disciplines such as bodysculpt and spinning, alongside gentler activities like oxygen sessions and stretching.
Bookings for all activities are already open, allowing users to plan their return to sport in advance. With this reopening, Saint-Charles Pool reaffirms its role as an essential community service, combining innovation, environmental responsibility, and high-quality offerings for the benefit of all residents.
