As part of the mechanical connections renewal plan launched in 2020 and its mobility policy, the Princely Government will proceed with the replacement of the six moving walkways in the Galerie Prince Pierre, which will be added to the 50 devices already replaced.
This very busy gallery ensures the connection between the railway station and Lazare Sauvaigo Alley.
The work will begin on June 19, 2024, and will be completed on April 30, 2025. During this period, a portion of the moving walkways will remain in service to facilitate movement, in addition to pedestrian pathways that will be maintained continuously.
The mechanical connections installed in 2000 will be replaced by more efficient devices, equipped with technology that allows automatic restart in case of activation of the emergency stop button.
