The 9th edition of the Rallye Princesse Charlène took place this Wednesday, April 2, in the presence of Her Serene Highness Princess Charlène, who attended one of the event’s scheduled conferences and participated in a drawing workshop. She was also involved in selecting the winning drawing, the awards ceremony, and the collective photo with a White Card #WhiteCard, in support of the global campaign led by Peace and Sport.
Nearly 400 ninth-grade students from the three schools of the Principality—Collège Charles III, Institution François d’Assise – Nicolas Barré, and Lycée Rainier III—gathered in Fontvieille for a morning dedicated to sports, solidarity, and peace.
Organized in partnership with key stakeholders and under the aegis of the Department of National Education, Youth, and Sports (DENJS), the Rallye Princesse Charlène is part of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, celebrated annually on April 6.
Organized in collaboration with the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation, Peace and Sport, the Monaco Anti-Doping Committee, the Monaco Parents’ Association, and other key actors of the Principality, the Rallye Princesse Charlène combines physical effort, awareness, and creativity. The event aims to instill in young people the fundamental values of sport, such as teamwork, solidarity, and neutrality.
Each school formed mixed teams of four to five students of all levels. The goal? To complete the challenges together while maintaining a strong team spirit, which is the key to success in this friendly competition.
The Rallye offers a balanced mix of sports challenges, intellectual workshops, and awareness activities:
Educational Conference: The Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation and Peace and Sport lead a dynamic discussion featuring Marlène Nidecker, Pierre Frolla, and Kevin Crovetto (ambassadors and Champions for Peace), along with a film screening followed by a discussion.
Drawing Competition: A creative workshop where students illustrate their vision of sport and peace through artwork.
Ergometer Relay Race: Organized in collaboration with the Société Nautique de Monaco, this endurance and coordination challenge promotes teamwork.
Rescue Course: Guided by the Académie de la Mer, students learn essential rescue techniques.
Educational Quiz (QCM): A multiple-choice quiz that allows students to deepen their knowledge about the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation, Peace and Sport, and the Monaco Anti-Doping Committee.
The Rallye Princesse Charlène has become a must-attend event, reflecting the essence of Monaco’s culture. This gathering embodies the balance between sports practice, which is crucial for youth physical development, and intellectual enrichment through educational and prevention-focused workshops.
The enthusiasm is palpable, as everyone is eager to contribute to a noble cause: promoting the harmony between physical and mental well-being. Through this initiative, Monaco reaffirms its commitment to nurturing a fulfilled youth, carrying forward the universal values of sport and peace.
