Nice is in the heart of the Carnival 2026, themed “Vive la Reine!”, a tribute to the women who have marked history and the collective imagination. The festival, the most important winter event on the French Riviera, continues until March 1, with parades, shows, and events throughout the city.

The central week is the most exciting, with unmissable events at Place Masséna, the Promenade des Anglais, and the city center.


Main events from February 18 to 22

Wednesday, February 18

  • 2:30 PM – Battle of Flowers
    Floats decorated with floral arrangements distribute over 100,000 flowers to the public, creating a spectacle of colors, fragrances, and costumes.

Thursday, February 19

  • Carnival Village (open until 10:00 PM)
    Art installations, workshops, shows, and family activities transform the area into a festive space.

Saturday, February 21

  • 2:30 PM – Battle of Flowers

  • 8:30 PM – Illuminated Carnival Parade
    Floats up to 20 meters high and international artistic companies offer a spectacular show.

Sunday, February 22

  • 2:30 PM – Corso d’Aqui
    Daytime parade celebrating local tradition, with folkloric groups and historic costumes from the Nice region.
