National operation for simplified abandonment of weapons to the State from March 25th to April 5th, 2024

The Direction de la Sûreté publique is organizing a simplified weapon surrender operation to the State. Weapons held illegally on national territory have been acquired through inheritance or found and retained, often without knowledge of the legal framework for possessing these weapons. Often stored without particular precautions, sometimes even forgotten, these weapons present a risk of domestic accidents, especially to children, or they can be stolen during burglaries and feed criminal networks. Through this operation, we want to offer holders in good faith the opportunity to simply dispose of them. To facilitate the return of weapons you wish to part with, from 25/03/2024 to 29/03/2024, you can make an appointment with our services:
