Monaco’s Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology Opens Call for Three-Year PhD Fellowship
The Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology of Monaco has launched a new opportunity for young researchers interested in the study of prehistoric heritage. The institution has opened applications for a three-year PhD fellowship, with the research project scheduled to begin in January 2027.
The initiative reflects the Principality of Monaco’s commitment to supporting scientific research and enhancing its archaeological heritage through collaboration with universities and international research institutions.
A research project focused on the Museum’s collections
The fellowship is aimed at candidates wishing to develop an original research project directly connected to the collections preserved by the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology.
The objective is to encourage new studies on prehistoric heritage, expand scientific knowledge, contribute to its preservation and promote its dissemination within the international academic community.

- curriculum vitae;
- motivation letter;
- doctoral research project proposal;
- relevant bibliography;
- academic recommendation letter.

Application deadline and selection process
The evaluation of applications will begin on September 15, 2026, marking the start of the selection process for the future doctoral researcher.
