The Principality of Monaco is preparing for a vibrant summer 2026, focused on culture, participation and free entertainment. The programme, presented by the Municipal Council on 12 June, features a packed calendar of events spread across the city, designed for both residents and visitors and combining music, tradition and social life.

The aim is to turn the entire city into an open-air stage, activating squares, neighbourhoods and iconic locations through concerts, festivals and cultural initiatives.

Opening with the Fête de la Musique and Esplanade des Pêcheurs concert

The summer season officially begins on June 21 with the traditional Fête de la Musique, which will transform Monaco’s districts into a live music circuit featuring performances across the city.

One of the highlights will be the free concert at the Esplanade des Pêcheurs, featuring French DJ Petit Biscuit, preceded by Sunlee and Karlota, in a unique urban seaside atmosphere.

Soirées Musicales between Larvotto and Square Gastaud

From July 8 to August 19, the Soirées Musicales return, offering evenings of French variety, pop and rock music at the Larvotto district and Square Gastaud.

All events are free of charge, reflecting Monaco’s commitment to accessible culture and entertainment for a wide audience.

Cultural ties with Liguria: the Dolceacqua concert

A special highlight will take place on June 27 as part of the twinning between Monaco and Dolceacqua. The historic Church of San Giorgio will host a free concert featuring flautist Marie-Claire Bert and organist Olivier Vernhet.

This initiative celebrates the long-standing cultural ties between the Principality and the Ligurian hinterland, reinforcing a shared artistic heritage. Dolceacqua becomes the stage for an elegant musical exchange.

Fireworks, carnival and popular traditions

The summer programme also includes major public events:

  • Fireworks at Port Hercule on July 25 and August 1
  • adv-925
  • The “U Sciaratu” carnival on July 3 in Monaco-Ville
  • Saint-Jean celebrations on June 23–24 with folklore dances and the traditional fire ritual Saint-Jean

These events highlight Monaco’s cultural identity through popular traditions and public celebrations.

Family-friendly events and cultural activities

Families will enjoy the Soirées Enfantines, featuring shows and games for children, as well as “Été entre mer et quai”, a programme of sports and leisure activities at Port Hercule and Larvotto.

Additional highlights include:

  • Cultural events at Jardin Exotique
  • The Music Gala of the Académie Rainier III
  • Activities at the Médiathèque Caroline

A free and inclusive summer in Monaco

The 2026 summer programme confirms Monaco’s commitment to offering a diverse, inclusive and free cultural season.

Music, traditions, family entertainment and open-air events combine to transform the Principality into a shared cultural space where residents and visitors can enjoy a lively and accessible summer experience.
