The Princely Government has announced the postponement of the implementation of the Limited Traffic Zone (LTZ), initially scheduled for this summer. The decision stems from the need to refine the plan through broader consultation with residents, businesses, and institutions, ensuring an effective and well-prepared rollout. The goal remains to ease traffic congestion during peak periods while preserving Monaco’s tourist appeal and quality of life.

At the same time, the authorities have introduced access restrictions to Port Hercule for the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show 2025 (September 24–27), one of the world’s most prestigious yachting events.

From September 24 at 00:00 until September 27 at 18:30, access to the port will be:

  • closed to all nautical traffic between midnight and 7 am;

  • allowed only to vessels with an official badge (issued by S.A.M. Monaco Yacht Show) between 7 am and midnight.

For safety reasons, throughout the entire event, the maximum navigation speed inside the port will be limited to 3 knots.

Yacht owners wishing to obtain the identification badge must apply directly to S.A.M. Monaco Yacht Show by calling +377 93 10 41 70. Applications will be accepted from August 18 to September 9, 2025.

Through these measures, Monaco reaffirms its dual commitment: carefully preparing the future LTZ introduction while ensuring safety and logistical efficiency for the smooth running of the Monaco Yacht Show.
