The Monaco International Book Fair (Salon International du Livre de Monaco) returns to the Grimaldi Forum on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, 2026, for its 15th edition, confirming its position as one of the Principality’s leading events dedicated to literature and culture.
Over two days, visitors will have the opportunity to meet writers, discover new publications and take part in a programme designed to encourage dialogue between authors, readers and the public. Books and writing will be at the heart of the event, alongside topics related to history, science, culture and contemporary debate.
The Monaco International Book Fair features a varied programme of conferences, book presentations, meetings with authors and debates. The format aims to make literature an open space for discussion, bringing together different experiences and perspectives.
The programme will also include more informal opportunities for direct interaction with guests, including open-microphone sessions. The aim is to create a welcoming and convivial atmosphere in which visitors can not only listen, but also take an active part in the conversation.
The event covers a wide range of genres and subjects, from novels and essays to works exploring history, research and contemporary society.
Figures from previous editions highlight the growth of the event. According to data released by the Grimaldi Forum, previous editions brought together more than 150 authors, around 3,400 visitors and a programme featuring 20 conferences.
For the 2026 edition, around 170 authors are expected to attend, confirming the international dimension the Salon has developed and its ability to bring together leading figures from different areas of culture.
The two-day event at the Grimaldi Forum will offer an opportunity to discover new books, explore cultural and contemporary issues and meet authors in person.
The September 5–6, 2026 event in Monaco is aimed not only at publishing professionals and literature enthusiasts, but at anyone wishing to spend time surrounded by books, ideas and cultural encounters.
With its 15th edition, the Monaco International Book Fair once again reinforces its mission: to make reading and culture a space for meeting, dialogue and shared experiences in the heart of the Principality.
