The 15th Monaco Historic Grand Prix, scheduled from April 24 to 26, 2026, will bring major changes to traffic circulation across the Principality, including restrictions on roads, parking, and pedestrian access. This highly anticipated event requires careful planning for residents, workers, and visitors.


đźš§ Traffic changes: road closures and restrictions

During the event, several key roads will be completely closed to vehicle traffic at the following times:

  • Friday, April 24: from 9:30 AM until the end of races
  • Saturday, April 25: from 6:15 AM until the end of races
  • Sunday, April 26: from 6:00 AM until the end of races

Major roads affected include:

  • Boulevard Albert Ier
  • Place du Casino
  • Avenue de Monte-Carlo
  • Avenue d’Ostende
  • Tunnel Rocher Albert Ier and Tunnel Noghès
  • Quai Albert Ier and Quai Antoine Ier
  • Avenue Princesse Grace
  • Boulevard Louis II

Additionally, from April 24 at 7:00 AM to April 26 at 11:59 PM, traffic restrictions will apply between Avenue des Papalins and Avenue Albert II.

Parking bans will be widespread and vary by area and schedule.

Condamine district (April 22, 7:00 AM – April 26, 9:00 PM):

  • Avenue Princesse Alice
  • Rue Princesse Antoinette
  • Avenue de la Madone
  • Avenue de la Quarantaine

Monte-Carlo district (April 23, 6:00 AM – April 26, 11:59 PM):

  • Passage de la Porte Rouge
  • Avenue de Roqueville
  • Boulevard de Suisse

Additional restrictions (April 23, 12:00 PM – April 26, 10:00 PM):

  • Boulevard Albert Ier
  • Place du Casino
  • Rue Grimaldi
  • Avenue des SpĂ©lugues
  • Avenue J.-F. Kennedy
  • Avenue de la Costa
  • Avenue Princesse Grace

🔄 Temporary traffic adjustments

To ease circulation:

  • One-way streets reversed: Rue Princesse Florestine, Rue Saige, Avenue du Port
  • Two-way traffic introduced: parts of Rue Grimaldi and Rue Louis Notari

đźš¶ Pedestrian restrictions

Access to areas near the circuit will be limited to ticket or official pass holders issued by the Automobile Club de Monaco.

Restricted pedestrian areas include:

  • Quai Albert Ier and Quai Antoine Ier
  • Avenue de la Costa
  • Escalier Sainte-DĂ©vote
  • Boulevard du Larvotto
  • Avenue Princesse Grace

Residents and workers may access these zones with valid ID or permits.


🚌 Public transport disruptions

Bus routes operated by CAM (Compagnie des Autobus de Monaco) and ZOU! network will be temporarily diverted. Travelers should check official websites for real-time updates.


🔌 Electric vehicle charging stations unavailable

Several EV charging stations will be temporarily out of service, including:

  • Avenue de la Madone
  • Rue Grimaldi
  • Avenue de la Quarantaine
  • Quai des États-Unis
  • Avenue des Ligures

Due to extensive restrictions:

  • Park outside the city center
  • Use public transport whenever possible
