March 2025 Events at the Monaco Media Library

The Monaco Media Library offers a rich calendar of cultural, artistic, and recreational events for the month of March, open to all ages. Here are some of the must-attend initiatives:

Louis Notari Library

(Free entry unless otherwise specified)

• Thursday, March 20 – 6:00 PM
  Exclusive meeting with Atiq Rahimi, Franco-Afghan writer and director, who will discuss his literary and cinematic works. The event will be followed by the screening of Syngué Sabour, pierre de patience, an adaptation of his novel that won the 2008 Prix Goncourt.

Renc’arts

• Monday, March 24 – 6:30 PM
  Meeting with artist Bernard Alligand and inauguration of the exhibition Islande – Jardin Tellurique, open until June 30, 2025.

• Saturday, March 29 – 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  Creative workshop with Bernard Alligand: creation of an artist’s book using mixed techniques and linocut. Participants are invited to bring a short poetic text and a protective apron. (By reservation)

Poetry Evening – “Muses”

• Tuesday, March 25 – 6:30 PM
  A poetic and musical recital by Compagnie Art’emessa, as part of Printemps des Poètes.

Concert – Baboucan & the Fine Asses

• Friday, March 28 – 7:00 PM
  An eclectic mix of ukulele, vibrant guitars, beatbox, and refined harmonies.

  Screening of The Ladykillers by Alexander Mackendrick (1955).

Readings – “Tell Me a Kamishibai Story”

• Wednesday, March 12 – 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  A storytelling journey through Kamishibai, a fascinating Japanese narrative technique. (No reservation required)

Game Night – “Step into a New Profession”

• Friday, March 21 – 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  An opportunity to experience new roles: chef, Renaissance merchant, worker, filmmaker, or detective! (Ages 14 and up)

African Tales

• Saturday, March 29 – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  A journey to the land of lions and elephants through the legends of the savannah. (Ages 4 and up, no reservation required)
