Cannes is about to experience a magical evening, where fire will dance to the timeless melodies of Italian opera. On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 10:00 p.m., the third night of the Festival International d’Art Pyrotechnique will turn the iconic bay into an open-air theater with “Italianissimo! Una notte stellata”, a spectacular show by the historic Italian company, Pirotecnica Morsani.
Founded in 1880 in Rieti, Pirotecnica Morsani is today one of the world’s leading names in the fireworks industry. Now led by the fourth generation, Telesforo Morsani continues to innovate while honoring his family’s long-standing tradition. Each of his shows is a choreographed composition where pyrotechnics, music, and visual poetry come together in a deeply emotional experience.
For this special event, Morsani presents a breathtaking journey through Italian identity, set to a remarkable soundtrack: La Primavera by Vivaldi, the Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana, Rossini’s iconic overtures, The Dance of the Hours by Ponchielli, Nessun Dorma and the toast from La Traviata, both performed by the legendary Luciano Pavarotti.
Every firework will be perfectly synchronized with the music, creating a dialogue between sky and melody, between light and memory, in one of the most scenic settings of the Mediterranean.
“Italianissimo!” is more than a fireworks display — it’s a celebration of art, beauty, and the Italian soul, brought to life in front of thousands of international spectators. A tribute to culture that merges pyrotechnic mastery with the timeless power of opera.
Cannes is ready to be enchanted. On Tuesday, July 22, all eyes to the sky: Italy takes the stage.
