First Meeting of the Steering Committee for the Global Anti-Corruption Strategy within the Framework of GRECO’s 5th Evaluation Cycle

On Friday, March 28, under the presidency of Madame Isabelle BERRO-AMADEÏ, Government Counselor-Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, acting as Minister of State, the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the Global Anti-Corruption Strategy was held as part of the 5th evaluation cycle of GRECO.

Established by Sovereign Ordinance No. 11.092 of February 18, 2025, this Steering Committee is tasked with developing a comprehensive strategy and determining the necessary measures to implement GRECO’s recommendations following the evaluation of the Principality. Its objective is to prevent corruption and promote integrity within central governments and law enforcement services.

At the opening of the meeting, Madame BERRO-AMADEÏ expressed her satisfaction with the creation of this Committee, emphasizing that, in line with its mission, it will play a central role in achieving concrete results. These efforts will be reflected in the first progress report, scheduled for late December 2025, which will outline the advancements made on this crucial issue for Monaco.

Through the establishment of this Committee, the Principality reaffirms the determination and commitment of the relevant Authorities to continue making progress in the fight against corruption.
