The charming Village du Broc (French Riviera) is gearing up for the 2026 edition of the Festival du Peu, a must-see event for contemporary art enthusiasts. Under the curation of Christine Parasote, this year’s exhibition explores the fascinating and contradictory theme: “Répétition générale” (Dress Rehearsal/Repetition).
Forget monotony. At the Festival du Peu, repetition is understood as a vital cycle, a learning method, and, above all, an artistic process. From cave paintings to digital installations, the act of repeating a gesture or a module is never an identical copy, but a search for the essence and variation.
“Everything is movement and nothing repeats exactly: repetition is, in fact, a promise of novelty.”
The 2026 edition features an eclectic selection of talent ranging from sculpture and bio-plastics to ceramics and performance art:
Jean Mas: A pillar of the Ecole de Nice, presenting his iconic “Fly Cages,” symbols of 30 years of semantic research.
Mona Barbagli: Explores emotions through color series and textile installations connecting earth and sky.
Alain Biet: With a naturalist approach, he reproduces everyday objects in watercolor in an infinite catalog.
Philippe Bresson: Works on the constraint of materials, showcasing accumulations of rubber and folded metals.
Caty Laurent: A mosaicist using slate fragments and gold to create poetic and activist messages.
Florent Testa: Blends primitive gestures with 3D printing, reflecting on the perfection of digital reproduction.
Alain Vagh: The “mad ceramist” from Salernes exhibits his imposing Totems, born from ancient, masterful gestures.
Anne-Laure Wuillai: Archives Mediterranean Sea samples in laboratory tubes, denouncing pollution with extreme delicacy.
The Festival is more than an exhibition; it is an immersive experience through the squares and alleys of the village.
