Enhanced measures on the occasion of events that could lead to inappropriate behavior and dangerous driving by drivers of high-displacement vehicles on public roads
The Principality Government draws attention to the fact that certain particularly attractive events may cause significant concentrations of vehicles capable of generating considerable disturbances to public order. Often unplanned, these gatherings of sports cars may lead to the commission of confirmed traffic violations and inappropriate and dangerous behavior. The aim of the Principality Government is to contain the mentioned phenomena, but also to more effectively combat the authors of occasional disturbances and thus preserve the tranquility and public safety of the Principality’s residents. Therefore, following the provisions adopted in previous editions, the period of immobilization of vehicles in violation is strengthened on the occasion of the following events:
- 81st Monaco Formula One Grand Prix – from May 23 to 26, 2024;
- Top Marques Monaco 2024 Exhibition – from June 5 to 9, 2024. In case of violation of the traffic code, the immediate immobilization of the vehicle will be extended to a duration of 120 hours.
