The Théâtre Francis Gag and the Pôle Théâtre et Arts Vivants de Nice present a season filled with new creations, powerful emotions and international discoveries. From moving stories of brotherhood to biting humour, via contemporary theatre and puppet cabaret, each event promises a unique and memorable experience.
Two original works created in Nice open the season:
My Brother Hunts Dinosaurs, adapted from Giacomo Mazzariol’s story, explores with tenderness and depth the question: how can we welcome a younger brother born with a disability?
The Figure of the Hero, by Hugo Musella, dives into the painful reunion of two brothers divided by tragedy, asking: can one mourn a brother turned terrorist?
Both plays are intense, intimate, and deeply human — proof that theatre remains a place where wounds and hopes find their voice.
The company Théâtre des Évadés, winner of the Grand Prix of the Scènes d’Automne Festival 2024, brings Honoré de Balzac’s Splendeurs et misères to life in a modern and dynamic adaptation.
A theatrical fresco where ambition, illusion, and social satire blend in a visually striking production.
With Aucune compétence particulière, Ghislain Blique delivers a stand-up show that is clever, honest, and hilariously human.
Balancing mild exasperation and heartfelt humour, he shares stories of everyday life, joy, failure, and resilience.
Opening act: Thomas Santarelli.
December brings a Canadian touch to the theatre:
The staged reading of Kiwi, a play by Daniel Danis, offers a poetic and rebellious take on adolescence and survival.
Then, make way for the phenomenal Ingrid Hansen, from Western Canada, with The Baby Tyler Show, a live puppet and film cabaret full of imagination and humour.
For older audiences, her Epidermis Circus promises a visually and emotionally stunning performance.
The Théâtre Francis Gag remains the beating heart of the Old Town of Nice, a place for creativity, emotion, and exchange.
Whether you’re a loyal spectator or a first-time visitor, every show is an encounter to live and remember.
