The spirit and charm of Carnival traditions are coming back to life in Beausoleil thanks to the exhibition “Le Temps du Carnaval”, open to the public until 3 April 2026 at the Centre Histoire & Mémoire Roger Bennati. The exhibition invites visitors of all ages to take a journey through the town’s collective memory and rediscover a celebration deeply rooted in local history.
Through a carefully curated selection of archival photographs, drawings, original costumes, masks and scale models of carnival floats, the exhibition recreates the festive atmosphere that once filled the streets of Beausoleil. Each item tells a story, illustrating how the Carnival has evolved over the years while preserving its creative and communal spirit.
Organised in collaboration with the Musée du Carnaval de Contes, the exhibition highlights the cultural and festive heritage of the region, showcasing Carnival as a powerful form of artistic and social expression.
The exhibition is open from Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm, and on Fridays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The centre is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free.
