Monaco is getting ready to celebrate Halloween with a day full of fun, imagination and spooky surprises. On Saturday, October 31, 2026, the Principality will host a series of events across municipal venues, offering activities for younger children, entertainment for teenagers and opportunities for families to enjoy the most frightening night of the year.
From Halloween storytelling and creative workshops to shows, games and immersive experiences, the celebrations will take place in libraries, parks and gardens, turning Monaco into a citywide Halloween trail. The festivities will also extend to Port Hercule, where the traditional Foire Attractions funfair will exceptionally remain open until midnight.
The celebrations will begin at the Médiathèque Caroline, where children can discover the world of Halloween through stories and imagination.
The event, entitled “Raconte-moi… une histoire d’Halloween… même pas peur !” (“Tell Me a Halloween Story… I’m Not Afraid!”), is designed for children aged four and over. Witches, ghosts and mysterious creatures will feature in stories that capture the spirit of Halloween while keeping the experience entertaining and child-friendly.
Admission is free and open to everyone, giving families an opportunity to introduce younger children to Halloween traditions through reading and storytelling.
In the afternoon, the main focus of the celebrations will move to Parc Princesse Antoinette, which will host a programme of activities for children from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.
The park will become a lively space for games and creativity, with mascots, face-painting sessions, magic potion workshops, games and themed shows. The activities are designed to immerse children in a festive Halloween atmosphere filled with fantasy characters and spooky decorations.
One of the highlights will be the Halloween Show, scheduled for 2.30 pm. In the lower section of the park, La Boîte de Jeux will also organise activities specifically for younger children.
Sweets and biscuits will be available to purchase, adding a delicious touch to the celebrations.
Admission is free, but participation is restricted to children who live or attend school in the Principality of Monaco.
As evening approaches, the Halloween atmosphere will become even more mysterious at the Jardin Exotique. From 7.30 pm, young people aged 10 and over will be able to take part in an immersive experience inside the Grotte de l’Observatoire.
The event will feature themed sets, music and games, offering participants an adventure inspired by the world of Halloween in a particularly atmospheric setting.
The evening will conclude with the distribution of sweets, keeping with the traditional spirit of the celebration.
This event is also reserved for young people who live or attend school in Monaco. Advance registration is required.
Those wishing to extend their Halloween celebrations can head to Port Hercule, where Monaco’s Foire Attractions funfair will exceptionally remain open until midnight on October 31.
The funfair, which runs until November 19, 2026, offers another opportunity to enjoy the evening with rides and attractions, adding an extra stop to Monaco’s Halloween celebrations.
The extended opening hours will allow visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere for longer and make the most of the funfair’s attractions.
The October 31 programme caters to different age groups, although admission requirements vary depending on the event.
The municipal authorities have also issued safety guidelines for the celebrations. Visitors wearing costumes will not be allowed to carry accessories that could be mistaken for weapons.
This precaution is intended to ensure that the events take place safely, allowing families, children and teenagers to enjoy Halloween in a relaxed and secure environment.
With activities taking place at the Médiathèque Caroline, Parc Princesse Antoinette, Jardin Exotique and Port Hercule, Monaco’s 2026 Halloween programme brings together culture, entertainment and the discovery of the city’s public spaces.
On Saturday, October 31, families will have several opportunities to celebrate, from storytelling sessions in the library and outdoor activities to the mysterious atmosphere of the cave and the attractions of the funfair.
The programme offers a varied Halloween experience for different age groups, with fun and safety at the heart of the celebrations.
