Menton is preparing to become the international capital of eFoil for one weekend. On Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026, the bay of Les Sablettes will host the final round of the 2026 Surf Foil World Tour (SFT), the international circuit bringing together some of the world’s best riders in the discipline.

The event, known as La Frech, is organized by Plume Tech, a French company specializing in high-performance eFoil technology. The competition will be decisive in determining the 2026 SFT World Champion, with international riders arriving in Menton ready to battle for victory in the final showdown of the season.

Two Days of Racing in the Bay of Les Sablettes

The event will take place in the spectacular setting of the Bay of Les Sablettes, overlooking Menton’s Old Town. Admission is free, allowing the public to watch the races and enjoy the various activities organized throughout the weekend.

In addition to the Surf Foil races, the program will feature pump foil demonstrations, giving spectators the opportunity to discover the world of electric hydrofoiling and see the techniques used by professional riders up close.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., riders will take part in the Time Trials & Seeding, which will determine their positions in the competition bracket.

From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the program will shift to a Pump Foil demonstration before racing resumes.

In the afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., the competition will enter a crucial phase with pool matches and elimination heats, determining which riders will advance to the decisive stages of the tournament.

From 8 p.m. onwards, the Village will host the evening’s celebrations and entertainment.

Sunday, September 13: Semifinals and Grand Final

The final day will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the Village on Quai Eugénie reopening to the public.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the quarterfinals and semifinals will take place, determining the riders who will qualify for the final showdown of the 2026 Surf Foil World Tour.

Sunday will also feature another Pump Foil demonstration, scheduled from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The highlight of the weekend will follow in the afternoon. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the SFT World Cup Grand Final will take place, deciding the winner of the 2026 world circuit.

The event will conclude at 6:30 p.m. with the podium ceremony and official awards presentation, celebrating the top-performing riders of the competition.
