Edmond de Rothschild Monaco has inaugurated its new headquarters in the Principality, marking an important milestone in the history of the private bank in Monaco. The new headquarters is located at Maison Valentina, in the La Condamine district, just steps from Place d’Armes, and also marks 40 years of Edmond de Rothschild’s presence in the Principality.
The new headquarters has been operational since July 2026, replacing the bank’s former offices in Monte-Carlo. The move also forms part of the broader transformation of the Thermes Marins area, which is undergoing a major redevelopment project led by Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.
Designed to meet the needs of an international private bank, the new building rises across 11 floors and offers approximately 5,300 square metres of space.
The premises accommodate 270 employees and include 16 meeting rooms, as well as areas dedicated to welcoming clients and holding meetings.
The architecture of Maison Valentina reinterprets elements of the Belle Époque style in a contemporary way, creating an environment where Monaco’s architectural heritage meets a modern and functional approach.
The choice of La Condamine was not accidental. One of Monaco’s most vibrant and characteristic districts, it offers the bank a central and accessible location while reinforcing its connection with the Principality.
The inauguration of the new headquarters coincides with a particularly significant anniversary for Edmond de Rothschild: 2026 marks 40 years since the bank established its presence in Monaco.
Over four decades, the group has developed a stable and deeply rooted presence in the Principality while maintaining a strong international outlook. This was highlighted by Gérard Ohresser, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild Monaco, who described the search for a new headquarters as a significant challenge that ultimately resulted in an exceptional new home for the bank.
Monaco’s importance to the bank is also reflected in its client base: more than 60% of its clients are residents of the Principality, while the institution continues to operate with an international focus.
The new headquarters is therefore intended not only as a workplace, but also as a space designed to strengthen relationships with clients, partners and the group’s wider network.
Edmond de Rothschild operates internationally, with more than 2,600 employees and a diversified range of activities, from wealth management to investment.
The group’s philosophy is based on a long-term perspective and an approach that extends beyond traditional financial services. Alongside its banking activities, the group is involved in areas connected with culture, heritage and the European art de vivre.
Among the group’s lesser-known activities are its interests in the wine industry. The Edmond de Rothschild family and group are associated with prestigious wine estates in several countries, including France, Spain, South Africa, New Zealand and Argentina.
This focus on wine and the culture of hospitality also has a distinctive presence within the new Monaco headquarters.
One of the defining features of Maison Valentina is an elegant wine cellar designed for tastings.
The space has been created to host client gatherings in a sophisticated yet welcoming setting, making wine culture an integral part of the experience offered by the bank.
The choice reflects a concept of private banking in which personal relationships play a central role. The aim is not simply to provide financial services, but also to create opportunities for interaction and shared experiences through interests connected with culture, gastronomy and heritage.
This philosophy is further illustrated by the group’s connection with French culinary tradition through “Le Baron de Rothschild” Brie de Meaux, another expression of its interest in European craftsmanship and excellence.
The new Edmond de Rothschild headquarters in Monaco therefore embodies a philosophy that brings together finance, culture and lifestyle.
The underlying idea is to create an environment where the relationship with clients extends beyond wealth management advice and can develop through shared experiences and personal encounters.
Maison Valentina consequently becomes more than a contemporary office building. It also represents the group’s vision: a modern setting deeply connected to tradition, combining the efficiency of an international headquarters with a more personal atmosphere reflecting the Edmond de Rothschild identity.
The opening of the new La Condamine headquarters comes at a time of significant transformation for the Principality and for Monte-Carlo, where several real estate and urban development projects are reshaping the city.
For Edmond de Rothschild, the move to Maison Valentina represents above all an investment in the future and a confirmation of Monaco’s strategic importance within its international network.
Forty years after establishing its presence in the Principality, the bank is looking ahead with a larger, modern headquarters designed to support its activities for decades to come.
The new La Condamine headquarters thus becomes a new landmark for Edmond de Rothschild Monaco, while providing a setting where the Rothschild family’s heritage meets contemporary architecture, wealth management and the culture of hospitality that continues to define the group.
