Monaco Yacht Show 2026: Installation Works Begin, Traffic and Parking Changes Announced

The Monaco Yacht Show 2026 is preparing to take over the Principality of Monaco. The prestigious international event dedicated to the world of yachting will take place from September 23 to 26, 2026, but preparations will begin well in advance.

Starting Saturday, August 29, installation work will get underway around Port Hercule, bringing a series of changes to traffic and parking in the port area.

Monaco Yacht Show 2026: where installation work will take place

The installation works will mainly affect Quai des États-Unis, Avenue J.F. Kennedy, Route de la Piscine and the various quays around Port Hercule. From September 7, work will also extend to Quai Antoine Ier, resulting in further changes to traffic flows.

To allow the structures to be installed safely, parking restrictions, changes to pedestrian routes and modifications to vehicle circulation will be introduced progressively. Some areas may also have to be completely closed for limited periods.

The aim is to ensure that the works can be carried out safely while minimizing disruption to residents, businesses, workers and visitors.

Traffic changes during the installation period

Specific measures will be introduced to reduce disruption, particularly during peak traffic hours.

Where possible, temporary easing of restrictions will facilitate everyday activities, including the drop-off of children at nearby schools. Temporary arrangements will also be put in place to ensure that deliveries to businesses in the area can continue.

Particular attention will be paid to Route de la Piscine, one of the main areas affected by the logistical operations.

Route de la Piscine to close from September 14 to 30

Route de la Piscine will be closed from September 14 to September 30, 2026, due to safety requirements linked to the transformation of the area into an operational and construction zone.

During this period, traffic will nevertheless remain possible in the Portier–Quai Antoine Ier direction during the morning rush hour.

This exception will not apply on the day before the opening of the Monaco Yacht Show or during the three days following the end of the event, when logistical activity is expected to be particularly intense.

New parking area for two-wheel vehicles

With Quai Antoine Ier occupied from September 7, a dedicated parking area for two-wheel vehicles will also be created on Avenue de la Quarantaine.

The measure is intended to provide additional parking capacity for scooters and motorcycles during the period of increased activity around the port.

When will the port area return to normal?

Following the conclusion of the Monaco Yacht Show, the temporary structures will progressively be dismantled.

Public spaces will begin to be returned to normal use from September 27, 2026, while a full return to normal is expected by October 8.

Residents and businesses should therefore expect several weeks of restrictions, covering both the installation and subsequent dismantling of the event infrastructure.

A coordinated plan to minimize disruption

The measures introduced for the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 have been developed in close cooperation between the State Services and the event organizers, with the aim of balancing the requirements of a major international event with the needs of everyday life in the port district.

The plan is designed above all to ensure safety throughout the installation, event and dismantling phases, while limiting the impact on local traffic as much as possible.

The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the Principality’s most important annual events, generating significant economic benefits and attracting an international audience. The extensive logistics required to accommodate exhibitors, yachts, industry professionals and visitors therefore require a dedicated traffic-management plan for the Port Hercule area.

• August 29, 2026: installation works begin.
