
The Fête du Vieux Tende is currently taking place in Tende. Organized by the Comité du Vieux Tende, the event continues until Sunday, August 23, offering a program dedicated to local traditions and folklore, with regional music, traditional dances and folk groups from France and Italy.
Today, Thursday, August 20, the program continues with the opening of the exhibition “Un linteau, témoin de cinq siècles de vie”, curated by Annie Boulanger. The opening will take place at 6 p.m. in Place du Ponte.
Friday, August 21 will be dedicated to the traditional game of belote. Registration begins at 6 p.m., with the tournament starting at 6:30 p.m. The prize is €150.
At the Traou, in Place Colonel Guido, visitors can also enjoy a barbecue and fries.
The Saturday program begins at 9 a.m. with the Sugéli workshop and lunch for participants, organized by Lucie Moulin.
From 2 to 4 p.m., children can take part in an Escape Game, with meeting point at the Traou in Place Colonel Guido.
At 4 p.m., the Chapelle des Pénitents noirs will host a free mandolin concert by Marine Moletto.
The evening continues at 7 p.m. with local tapas boards, followed by fireworks at 10 p.m. From 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., the Traou will host a traditional dance evening with music by Ciansunier.
The final day, Sunday, August 23, opens with the Balarin de Tenda procession, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. The procession will depart from Le Bego cinema and finish at the Traou in Place Colonel Guido.
At noon, a lunch prepared by Ça Beigne will be served at the Traou. Reservations are required and can be made at Ça Beigne, Le Comptoir Tendasque or Boucherie de la place.
The Fête du Vieux Tende is free of charge and continues through Sunday, August 23, in the medieval village of Tende.
