Villeneuve-Loubet: “Rêve et Réalité” Exhibition Explores the Connection Between Dreams and Reality at the Musée d’Histoire et d’Art

A captivating artistic journey between imagination and reality is currently on display at the Musée d’Histoire et d’Art in Villeneuve-Loubet. Organized by the ArtoCercle de Vence association, the collective exhibition “Rêve et Réalité” invites visitors to reflect on the delicate boundary between dreams and the real world.

Open to the public since June 5 and running through July 31, 2026, the exhibition features works by 17 visual artists, each offering a unique interpretation of a theme that has inspired creative minds for generations.

Through a variety of artistic expressions, the exhibition explores how fantasy, emotions and everyday experiences intersect. Paintings, sculptures and mixed-media creations guide visitors through a dialogue between what is imagined and what is lived, highlighting the role of art as a bridge between seemingly contrasting dimensions.

According to the exhibition’s concept, dreams are not merely an escape from reality but a creative force capable of transforming and enriching it. This idea serves as the common thread linking the works on display and encouraging viewers to see the world from new perspectives.

Hosted in the heart of Villeneuve-Loubet’s historic center, the Musée d’Histoire et d’Art provides an ideal setting for this cultural event. The opening reception took place on June 5, marking the beginning of an exhibition designed to engage art enthusiasts, local residents and visitors to the French Riviera.

The exhibition can be visited free of charge until July 31, 2026, from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
