Grasse, globally recognized as the capital of perfume and listed as part of UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage, is preparing to host SIMPPAR 2026, the Salon International des Matières Premières pour la Parfumerie. The event will take place on 26 and 27 May 2026 and is one of Europe’s most important trade fairs dedicated to fragrance raw materials.
Following the 2025 edition held in Paris, the fair returns to Grasse, continuing its alternating format between the two cities and strengthening its connection with the historic heart of the global perfume industry.
The 19th edition of SIMPPAR will be held outdoors at the prestigious Cours Honoré-Cresp, located in front of the Palais des Congrès in Grasse. This symbolic venue blends the city’s heritage with the international scope of the event.
One of the main innovations in 2026 is the removal of the large exhibition tent, replaced by 115 individual booths, an increase compared to previous editions. This redesign aims to improve visibility for exhibitors while maintaining the core principle of the fair: equal conditions for all participants, from small producers to major international companies.
SIMPPAR confirms its status as the leading European event for raw materials in perfumery, bringing together producers of essential oils, natural extracts, synthetic molecules, as well as packaging and technology suppliers.
The event is strictly reserved for industry professionals, including perfumers, buyers, R&D managers, and technical experts, and is not open to the general public.
Alongside business meetings, SIMPPAR 2026 will feature key networking moments. The program includes the traditional opening cocktail on 26 May, followed by a garden party on 27 May, organized by the City of Grasse with limited access.
These events offer valuable opportunities to strengthen relationships within the global fragrance industry.
In parallel with the trade fair, Grasse will showcase its olfactory heritage through curated experiences. Starting in January 2026, guided tours will be organized to the rose and jasmine fields, emblematic of the region’s perfume production.
Visitors will also be able to explore the city and the International Perfume Museum, a key institution dedicated to the history of perfumery.
Founded in 1991 in Paris by the Société Française des Parfumeurs, SIMPPAR has grown into a global reference event for the fragrance supply chain.
One of its key initiatives is the International Young Perfumer-Creator Award, which promotes emerging talent and innovation within the industry.
With SIMPPAR 2026, Grasse once again takes center stage in the international fragrance industry. The event brings together tradition, innovation, and sustainability, reinforcing the city’s position as the world capital of perfume and a strategic hub for the global fragrance sector.
