From May 7 to 10, 2026, the unspoiled nature of the Maritime Alps takes center stage again as the Neige & Merveilles gîte d’étape reopens exceptionally in Tende, at the Hameau de la Minière de Vallauria. This initiative is a must for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic experience centered on volunteering, environmental sustainability, and shared living.
Organized by the Association Neige et Merveilles, the event aims to prepare the facility for the 2026 summer season. After winter months marked by heavy snowfall and administrative work, the lodge is getting ready to welcome hikers and visitors through a collective effort.
Over four days, participants will take part in practical activities such as maintenance, cleaning, organizing, and small repair work both indoors and outdoors. It’s a concrete way to contribute to preserving and enhancing a unique natural environment.
This is more than just work—it’s a social and human experience. The organizers foster an inclusive and friendly atmosphere open to everyone, emphasizing that collective participation is key to revitalizing the site.
Volunteers will be provided with accommodation and meals on-site, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the experience while sharing meaningful moments and connecting with nature.
Located at حوالي 1,500 meters above sea level, Neige & Merveilles offers a unique alpine setting, perfect for disconnecting from daily routines. Surrounded by forests and mountain trails, the event also encourages reflection on sustainability and cooperation.
The initiative is part of a broader commitment to responsible tourism and environmentally conscious land management. Taking part means supporting a sustainable model that benefits both nature and the community.
The event will take place from Thursday, May 7 to Sunday, May 10, 2026. Early booking is recommended.
