The Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters 2026 concluded with a thrilling final between World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz and World No.2 Jannik Sinner, played under extremely windy conditions that challenged both players throughout the match.
In a high-level contest, Jannik Sinner proved to be the more consistent player in crucial moments. The Italian secured the first set in a tie-break and went on to defeat Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 7-6, 6-3 in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
With this victory, Sinner wins the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters for the first time and becomes the third player in history to claim the first three ATP Masters 1000 titles of the season. This win also guarantees his return to the World No.1 ATP ranking.
“I’m very happy. I came here hoping to play as many matches as possible. The level today was extremely high despite the difficult conditions,” said Sinner.
The prestigious final attracted high-profile guests, including Prince Albert II of Monaco, Princess Charlene, and tournament president Melanie-Antoinette de Massy. Also in attendance were Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and Monaco’s rising tennis star Valentin Vacherot.

Local hero Valentin Vacherot impressed fans with standout performances, defeating top players such as Lorenzo Musetti (World No.5) and Alex de Minaur (World No.6) on his way to the semifinals.
His remarkable run will see him break into the ATP Top 20 for the first time.
In doubles, Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz claimed the title after defeating Marcelo Arévalo and Mate Pavić 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 in a hard-fought final.
This marks their second ATP Masters 1000 title, following their win in Shanghai. The last German pair to win in Monte-Carlo was Boris Becker and Michael Stich in 1992.
The 2026 edition set a new attendance record with over 155,000 spectators across nine days. For the first time in the tournament’s history, all tickets were sold out in advance, including qualifying rounds.
Tournament director David Massey highlighted the success, noting the introduction of stadium tickets, allowing families to enjoy matches via large screens and entertainment areas.
