On March 16, 2026, the President of the Commission Supérieure des Comptes, Christian Descheemaeker, officially submitted the 2025 Annual Public Report to Albert II of Monaco.

Adopted on November 18, 2025, the report is a key document for analyzing the financial management of the Principality of Monaco and is available on the Government’s official website.

Monaco 2025 Audit Report: focus on public finances

The 2025 Annual Report primarily focuses on auditing the State’s accounts for the 2024 fiscal year.

Its purpose is to provide the Sovereign Prince with the necessary information to approve the national budget, ensuring transparency and accountability in the management of public funds.

Among the highlights is a detailed review of financial operations related to the Princess Grace Hospital Centre, one of the Principality’s major infrastructure projects.

Audits of institutions and organizations

Throughout 2025, the Commission completed audits of several public entities and organizations, including:

  • Office of Social Protection

  • Automobile Club of Monaco

  • AS Monaco Basket

  • Flavien Foundation

These audits highlight the Commission’s central role in overseeing financial and administrative management across the Principality.

Ongoing audits in 2026

Some audit activities continued into early 2026, particularly concerning:

  • the Collège Charles III

  • the Municipality of Monaco

Regarding the Monaco Scientific Centre, the audit procedure began in 2026 and is currently ongoing.

Innovation, transparency, and international engagement

Beyond its audit missions, 2025 was marked by strong international involvement. The Commission participated in initiatives led by associations of French-speaking Supreme Audit Institutions, focusing on innovative methods for publishing audit results and increasing citizen participation.

Another key responsibility involves the President’s role in reviewing asset declarations submitted by members of the Monegasque Government, ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
