On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 6:30 pm, the Maison des Associations in Monaco (2 bis Promenade Honoré II) will host a conference dedicated to the human and entrepreneurial journey of Oscar Farinetti, one of the most influential figures in contemporary Italian entrepreneurship. The event is organized under the Patronage of the Embassy of Italy in the Principality of Monaco and will welcome the presence of Ambassador Manuela Ruosi.
Entitled “From Eataly to The Rule of Silence through Have You Eaten?”, the meeting retraces the many professional lives of Farinetti: visionary entrepreneur, essayist, storyteller and novelist, constantly reinventing himself. The evening will be coordinated and moderated by architect Italo Muratore, President of the Cross-Border Landscape Observatory.
Born in Alba on September 24, 1954, in the heart of the Langhe region, Farinetti built his success starting in consumer electronics with Unieuro, before transforming the way Italian food is presented to the world through Eataly — a project combining gastronomy, culture and sustainability. At the end of 2020, he launched Green Pea, an innovative space dedicated to sustainable non-food products, designed in harmony with the environment.
In recent years, wine has become central to his entrepreneurial activity. Farinetti now owns ten wineries across Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli, Tuscany and Sicily, covering over 500 hectares of organic vineyards and producing around 10 million bottles per year. Author of numerous best-selling books and recipient of two honorary degrees, he is also renowned as a speaker able to clearly and evocatively explain how entrepreneurial projects are born, his vision of marketing, and strategies for facing the future. His approach blends rules and intuition, poetry and mathematics, business spirit and human relationships.
As is customary, Farinetti will donate all proceeds from the conference to two non-profit foundations: the Fondazione Mirafiore, dedicated to promoting literature, and Earth – Eataly Art House, committed to the promotion of art.
The event will conclude with an open conversation with the audience and a convivial moment featuring a wine tasting by Cantina Cossetti and DeCo products from the Riviera Ligure.
