On Friday, January 23, 2026, H.E. Minister of State Christophe Mirmand chaired the fourth meeting of the Steering Committee on the global strategy to combat corruption, within the framework of the 5th evaluation cycle of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).
The meeting allowed the Committee to make a progress report on the actions implemented to address the recommendations issued by GRECO in its Monaco evaluation report of June 21, 2024.
Following preparatory discussions and decisions made during the first three meetings, members now have a common and coherent vision of the issues concerning the high executive functions.
These efforts have laid the foundation for a realistic strategic framework adapted to the institutional specificities of the Principality, designed to be implemented operationally.
According to H.E. the Minister of State:
“The activities of the Steering Committee are part of a rigorous and constructive dynamic, reflecting a clear intention to progressively and pragmatically strengthen national mechanisms for the prevention and fight against corruption. The orientations decided are the result of the involvement of all relevant entities and demonstrate the attention given to these sensitive issues at the highest executive level, in line with the will of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince.”
The work of the Steering Committee will continue to complete the development of the global strategy to combat corruption applicable to high executive functions, together with its operational action plan.
This strategy and action plan will soon be made public by the Princely Government, marking an important and structuring step in the strengthening of Monaco’s national anti-corruption framework.
