On the occasion of the Sainte Dévote celebrations, scheduled for Monday, 26 January 2026, the Administration has implemented a series of organizational and security measures concerning road traffic and public access to the areas hosting the official events:
the procession (Quai des États-Unis / Route de la Piscine), the ceremony in Place Sainte Dévote, and the burning of the boat on Quai Albert Ier.

Public access

From 5:30 pm, security checkpoints will be in place, including visual inspection of bags and containers, as well as designated public areas:

  • Place Sainte Dévote: for those wishing to attend the procession and the Blessing of the Most Holy Sacrament

  • Northern section of Quai Albert Ier: for those wishing to attend the burning of the boat

Access to the railway station

Passengers travelling to or from the railway station are advised that from 5:30 pm:

  • pedestrian access through the Vallon Sainte-Dévote will be closed

  • the Sainte Dévote stairway will also be closed

👉 Users are invited to use the Sainte-Dévote Gallery to reach or leave the station from/to Rue Grimaldi.

Traffic arrangements

  • From 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm: closure of the Route de la Piscine between Avenue J.F. Kennedy and the Jules Soccal jetty

  • Between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm: temporary traffic interruptions on:

    • Boulevard Albert Ier

    • Avenue J.F. Kennedy

    • Avenue d’Ostende

These measures are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the event.

Public transport and parking

Disruptions are expected on urban transport services (lines 1, 2, 3 and 6) and interurban services (lines ZOU! no. 600 and no. 80) during the above-mentioned road closures.

As regards public car parks (access and diversions), users will be informed through notices posted at car park entrances, managed by the relevant municipal services.

The Administration invites residents and visitors to make the necessary arrangements and thanks them in advance for their understanding and cooperation during this major traditional event.
