
On the occasion of the Sainte Dévote celebrations, scheduled for Monday, 26 January 2026, the Administration has implemented a series of organizational and security measures concerning road traffic and public access to the areas hosting the official events:
the procession (Quai des États-Unis / Route de la Piscine), the ceremony in Place Sainte Dévote, and the burning of the boat on Quai Albert Ier.
From 5:30 pm, security checkpoints will be in place, including visual inspection of bags and containers, as well as designated public areas:
Place Sainte Dévote: for those wishing to attend the procession and the Blessing of the Most Holy Sacrament
Northern section of Quai Albert Ier: for those wishing to attend the burning of the boat
Passengers travelling to or from the railway station are advised that from 5:30 pm:
pedestrian access through the Vallon Sainte-Dévote will be closed
the Sainte Dévote stairway will also be closed
👉 Users are invited to use the Sainte-Dévote Gallery to reach or leave the station from/to Rue Grimaldi.
From 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm: closure of the Route de la Piscine between Avenue J.F. Kennedy and the Jules Soccal jetty
Between 6:45 pm and 7:45 pm: temporary traffic interruptions on:
Boulevard Albert Ier
Avenue J.F. Kennedy
Avenue d’Ostende
These measures are necessary to ensure the smooth running of the event.
Disruptions are expected on urban transport services (lines 1, 2, 3 and 6) and interurban services (lines ZOU! no. 600 and no. 80) during the above-mentioned road closures.
As regards public car parks (access and diversions), users will be informed through notices posted at car park entrances, managed by the relevant municipal services.
