The official presentation of the La Vuelta 26 route will take place in Monaco on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
Starting at 6:00 PM, the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club will host the official unveiling of the 2026 race route.
This event, usually held in Madrid, will be exceptionally relocated to the Principality, which will host the Grand Départ of La Vuelta on Saturday, 22 August 2026, featuring a 9.6-kilometre individual time trial entirely designed through the streets of Monaco.
The following day, Sunday, 23 August 2026, the 2nd stage will depart from the Prince’s Palace Square, with riders heading toward France.
The presentation evening will take the form of a televised show produced by RTVE and broadcast in 160 countries.
Francophone viewers will be able to follow the event on Eurosport.
The full route of La Vuelta 26 will be revealed in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and Javier Guillén, General Director of La Vuelta.
Hosted by Marc Chavet, a well-known voice in the cycling world, the event will be bilingual (French and Spanish), last 1 hour and 20 minutes, and feature artistic and musical performances.
It is worth noting that, after launching the Giro in 1966 and hosting the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in 2009, Monaco will become the first city in the world to have hosted the start of all three Grand Tours.
