The 2025 Prince Pierre Foundation Awards Ceremony took place on October 14 at the Monte-Carlo Opera House, in the presence of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, President of the Foundation.
The event was hosted by Arnaud Merlin, journalist for France Musique.

On this occasion, the awards were presented in the fields of literature, music, contemporary art, and philosophy.


🎨 Contemporary Art

  • International Contemporary Art Prize: Simone Fattal for her work Sempre il mare, uomo libero, amerai ! (2023).

  • Research Grant: Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme for their work Until We Became Fire and Fire Us (2023 – ongoing).


📚 Literature

  • Literary Prize: Louis-Philippe Dalembert, Haitian writer, for his entire body of work.

  • Discovery Grant: Ruben Barrouk for his debut novel Tout le bruit du Guéliz, published by Albin Michel.

  • Students’ Favorite Award: Damien Lecamp for his debut novel Un père sur le banc, published by Léo Scheer.


🎵 Music

  • Musical Springboard: Mikel Iturregi for his work Elurra bezain isil (2024), written for a sextet (flute, clarinet, piano, accordion, percussion, double bass), self-published.

  • Young Listeners’ Choice Award: Melinda Wagner for her work Limbic Fragments (2024), written for ensemble, self-published.


💭 Philosophy

  • Principality Prize: jointly awarded by the Philosophical Encounters of Monaco and the Prince Pierre Foundation to Siri Hustvedt for her entire body of work.
