The week’s agenda was particularly intense, highlighting Monaco’s dedication to gender equality, peace, the oceans, health, and multilateral cooperation.

  • Monday, 22 September: on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, H.S.H. the Prince reaffirmed Monaco’s commitment to gender equality (SDG 5). He also participated in the Middle East Peace Conference and, at a gala hosted by the Foreign Policy Association, received the prestigious FPA Medal in recognition of his international leadership on the environment and ocean protection.

  • Tuesday, 23 September: Monaco joined the event marking the implementation of the BBNJ Agreement on high-seas biodiversity, further asserting its leadership in ocean governance.

  • Wednesday, 24 September: during the General Debate, H.S.H. Prince Albert II stressed the importance of dialogue as both a founding principle of the UN and a core value of the Principality. On the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs took part in the meeting of the Global Governance Group (3G), which brings together 30 small and medium-sized countries and serves as a bridge with the G20.

  • Thursday, 25 September: the delegation attended the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth (WPAY) and a meeting on combating non-communicable diseases (NCDs) – two central priorities of Monaco’s foreign policy on human rights and global health.

  • Friday, 26 September: Monaco contributed to the 14th Conference on the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and participated in an event organised by Morocco and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) highlighting sport as a tool for social inclusion.

Throughout the week, H.S.H. the Prince held bilateral talks with the Presidents of Portugal and Kazakhstan, the Foreign Minister of Singapore, Brazil’s Minister for Indigenous Peoples, and representatives of the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion. Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Isabelle Berro-Amadeï met her counterparts from the Philippines, Jamaica, and the Maldives, as well as the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, ahead of Monaco’s first presidency of the Committee of Ministers in May 2026.

The traditional trilateral dinner with the Foreign Ministers of Andorra, Monaco and San Marino was hosted this year by Monaco. The delegation also attended the Francophone evening “En français s’il vous plaît” organised by the OIF.

Finally, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation promoted several events showcasing innovative solutions for climate protection, biodiversity conservation and marine ecosystem resilience.
