From September 27 to October 11, 2025, Fréjus and nearby towns in the Estérel region will come alive with music and heritage through a unique program dedicated to Gustave Bret, a key figure in 20th-century French musical life. Organ concerts, vocal recitals, and cultural events will offer an immersive experience blending history, art, and spirituality.
The opening will take place on Saturday, September 27, at the Cathédrale Saint-Léonce in Fréjus (8:00 PM), featuring an organ concert by Emmanuel Arakélian. The program will include works by J.S. Bach and Widor, enriched with theatrical readings by Magali Solignat and Eric Blanche, Gustave Bret’s great-grandson.
On September 28, the Parc de la Source in Adrets de l’Estérel will host a musical stroll by the folk ensemble La Miougrano de Fréjus, celebrating Provençal traditions.
October promises a rich lineup:
October 3 – Organ concert in Roquebrune-sur-Argens with Jérémie Noyer.
October 4 – Voice and piano recital in Fréjus with Emmanuelle Blanche-Lormand and Sophie Teulon.
October 10 – Organ concert at the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire in Saint-Raphaël with Michel Colin and theatrical readings.
October 11 – Grand finale with a choral concert at the Saint-Jacques church in Puget-sur-Argens and a heritage lecture about Gustave Bret at the Médiathèque Villa-Marie in Fréjus.
