Monaco celebrates five years of sustainable innovation in marinas

The Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous marks its fifth anniversary and returns on September 21–22 at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Organized by M3 Monaco with the support of the Prince Albert II Foundation and the Yacht Club, the event will gather over 250 international yachting professionals – investors, innovators, architects, and marina managers – to drive the transition towards smarter, more efficient, and environmentally responsible infrastructures.

In just five years, the Rendezvous has become a global hub of ideas and concrete projects: from Terroïko’s biodiversity solutions to H2X Ecosystems’ green hydrogen, Solar Cloth’s solar fabrics, and Pick a Pier’s digital platforms. A highlight of the 2025 edition will be the launch of SMART Dock, a prototype of a smart, sustainable pier designed as an open-air laboratory for the energy transition.

The Smart Marina Architecture Competition also returns, challenging students and international studios in 2025 to reinvent the Venezia Certosa Marina with resilient, modular, and eco-responsible solutions.

The Rendezvous will close on September 22 with the International Smart & Sustainable Marina Awards, recognizing excellence across four categories: Start-up & Scale-up, Marina, Professional Architect, and Student.

With an ever-growing global network and an approach combining technology, architecture, and environmental stewardship, Monaco confirms its role as an international laboratory for responsible and sustainable yachting.
